I have used this app for several years. it does the basic playback function but lacks so many possibilities! The Playlist function is a joke. It lists songs in no particular order, and no search function, you have to scan the whole list to find the one you want Then you can only edit or delete one song at a time, there is no batch file capability. Also, why can't I listen to my music through the app on my phone? It only plays through the hard-wired connection on the Raspberry Pi.

Rare works great out of the box app. The app works great, never had a glitch or crash. Kudos for the clean and easy setup. Tried several other media setups, but this was the cleanest by far. I brought my classic 1984 Pioneer stereo out of the garage and back into production. I will be getting a DAC hat after hearing how good the old stereo and speakers sound. Yes a mild hum, but notched out by the EQ. Using a raspberry pi 4 model 4 with a USB connected storage drive.

For months I've been under the impression that my Raspberry Pi was just slowly dying. I replaced the SD card, reinstalled Volumio, over and over again. It turns out my Pi was fine. It was the app that was not responding, or it did but very slowly. Today I switched to the web interface from my browser and realized that the Pi has been fine all along. It's the app that was broken. Even the previous version. Anyway I am sticking to the web interface. No need to trouble myself with this app.
