If you purchased an Advance ticket to travel on a TfW service (for all or part of your journey) using the app or website, and have opted in then you’re covered by our automatic Delay Repay scheme if your train is delayed or cancelled. This means no forms to fill in to claim any compensation you may be entitled to.

Ratings and reviews

It's okay, but it doesn't inspire confidence. You only have one option for getting your e-ticket, and I chose the mobile app. But if the mobile app crashes on the day of travel, you're doomed. There's no way to add a backup on Google Wallet and you never get emailed the PDF ticket, so using TfW is extremely high risk. Also, there's a bug where if you select a Railcard on desktop, there's literally no way to double check which Railcard you added before you buy. A high risk booking app.

DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT, ATTEMPT TO USE THIS APP OR PAY AS YOU GO WITH TFW. I attempted to use tap and go at the station was told it didnt work on the train, attempted tonuse this app to view the payment, but it doesnt work. so was made to purchase a ticket. 10 pound was then taken from my account. after almost a month trying to get a refund im now being told i can only do it in the app, which is still not working. absolutely awful servive they are ripping people off

1000s of problems with PAYG, the last one double charged me and when my bank bounced the 2nd payment of the same amount automatically they blocked me from the service even though I had paid for the service and then their help service were really cheeky and offensive.
