Milo Input brings voice input, Miaoji notes and Rime typing together. Speak, review the text, or keep typing with a familiar layout.
Voice input and writing roles
Tap the microphone in the current text field, then tap again when you finish. Keep the Original transcript, or use a Daily, Work, Business or Coding role to tidy repetition, order and punctuation. Name a role of your own and combine writing traits. Your selected role carries across apps by default. Use Settings in the top right of the Roles page to link apps to roles and enable automatic switching. All rules start off; an app without a matching rule keeps the current role. You can edit the result before sending it. A recording is kept during a connection failure. After stopping, Milo tries to connect for up to 15 seconds. If the result was not inserted, retry manually; if it says it was inserted, check the text field first.
Miaoji: longer notes you can edit
Start a separate recording from the voice panel and open its details when you finish. The original transcript is saved as a local draft, not inserted into your current field. Edit it, then choose and confirm one of five templates: Meeting Minutes, Study Notes, Interview Notes, Customer Conversation or Job Interview Notes. A canceled or failed attempt keeps the draft. Edit, copy or share the organized result.
Recording and organization through your assistant
On an Android 16 or later device with AppFunctions support, a compatible assistant can request voice recording with a writing role or a Miaoji template. Review and confirm the request in Milo before recording or organizing the chosen note. The assistant can then retrieve this task’s result. Recognition and organization use your in-app character allowance. Availability depends on your device and assistant.
Nine layouts and a pocket dictionary
Choose full-keyboard Pinyin, nine-key Pinyin, Xiaohe double Pinyin on 26 or 14 keys, Wubi 86, Cangjie 5, English, Japanese or Korean. Long-press the keyboard’s scheme-switch key to change layouts. After choosing a word, follow-on suggestions are available in all six Chinese schemes. Long-press a candidate with an existing gloss to read its Chinese or English meaning. Releasing does not select the word; the gloss stays five seconds longer than an ordinary hint after release. Candidates without a gloss show no popup.
Your words and appearance
Sync words and phrases learned while typing to your own WebDAV storage or personal NAS. After sign-in and identity confirmation, new recordings include existing personal-dictionary hotwords by default for human review and possible shared-dictionary improvements. No separate contribution switch or consent step is needed. Transcripts are not mined for new words, and contributions do not immediately change suggestions. White Glaze is the first-install theme; an explicit earlier theme choice stays. Other themes and left- or right-handed wide-screen controls are available.
Data and allowance
Keyboard candidates are processed on your device. Speech recognition, writing-role polishing and Miaoji organization need a network and cloud services; the audio or text needed for those tasks is sent to the relevant service. Speech recognition, role polishing and Miaoji organization each use the in-app character allowance; view their usage in Bills. A recording awaiting retry may be stored locally after a network failure; Miaoji text is saved locally. You choose your WebDAV destination and credentials.
