Speech to Text is a privacy-first offline dictation app for Android. Record speech, turn it into text on your device, and keep control of your audio and transcripts.
Once you download a language model, the app works offline for day-to-day dictation. Use it to capture notes, reminders, ideas, meetings, or rough drafts without depending on a cloud speech service.
What you can do:
• Dictate live with on-device speech recognition
• Use the built-in SpeechToText keyboard to dictate into other apps
• Save transcripts locally and review them in a searchable library
• Rename, copy, share, export, or delete transcripts whenever you want
• Download and switch between supported offline language packs
• Choose recording preferences such as audio retention and battery saver behavior

• English (US)
• English (India)
• Spanish
• French
• Hindi
Privacy by design:
• Speech recognition runs on-device
• Audio and transcripts are stored locally on your phone
• Internet is used only to download language models
• Your recordings and transcripts are not sent to our servers
Setup is simple:
1. Install the app
2. Download at least one language model
3. Start dictating from the main recording screen or enable the SpeechToText keyboard in Settings
