About this app

memory.wiki for Android is the mobile companion to memory.wiki on the web. Use it to capture from any Android app and read your saved documents on the go. The full editor, organisation tools, AI chat, and account management live on memory.wiki on the web.

What this app does

• Capture six ways — Write a quick note, save a URL, take a photo, OCR scan text from a printed page, record a voice memo, or import a file from your device. Each capture lands on memory.wiki as a clean Markdown document.

• Share from anywhere — share text, URLs, images, or audio from any other Android app into memory.wiki via Android's share sheet.

• Long-press launcher icon — Capture / Ask / Search / Paste shortcuts for one-tap access without opening the app first.

• Quick Settings tile — pull down from the top of the screen and tap once to start a capture.

• Home + lock-screen widget — your recent documents, visible without unlocking.

• Read your documents — every memory.wiki document opens with the same Markdown renderer as the web: KaTeX math, Mermaid diagrams, syntax-highlighted code, tables.

• Offline-first — captures and reads work without a connection; sync resumes automatically when you're back online.

• Cross-AI by design — paste your memory.wiki hub URL into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Gemini, Perplexity, or any other AI tool and that AI inherits everything you've saved.

What this app does NOT do (use memory.wiki on the web for these)

• Edit existing documents with the full WYSIWYG editor — the Android app is read-only for existing docs; create new captures here, edit them on the web.
• Organise documents into bundles or hubs.
• Manage account settings, sharing permissions, or delete your account, sign in to memory.wiki/settings on the web.
• Chat with your hub using the in-app AI panel.

Requirements

• A memory.wiki account (sign up at memory.wiki).
• Android 13 (API 33) or newer.

No tracking. No ads. No third-party data sharing.
