About this game

HyperRotation is an interactive high-dimensional geometry visualizer.

Choose a cube from 3 to 6 dimensions, rotate it through its available planes, and watch a 3D projection of the hypercube move in real time. It begins with the familiar 3D cube, extends into the classic 4D tesseract, and continues into 5D and 6D hypercube projections.

This is not just a tesseract animation. HyperRotation lets you explore how different rotation axes affect the projected shape, either as a controlled sandbox, a passive visual display, or a spatial puzzle.

Explore higher-dimensional rotation

Sandbox Mode gives you direct control over the rotation axes. Select the number of dimensions, open the axis list, and adjust rotation rates with sliders. Each axis represents a rotation around the intersection of two planes, letting you isolate one higher-dimensional motion or combine several at once.

Use Sandbox Mode to:
• Compare 3D, 4D, 5D, and 6D rotations.
• See how individual axes change the projection.
• Combine multiple rotations and study the resulting motion.
• Experiment with tesseract-style and higher-dimensional geometry.

Relax with abstract geometry

Muse Mode turns HyperRotation into a clean visual display. Choose a dimension and speed, press Go, and the app starts a random rotation while clearing the controls from the screen. The result is a minimal, geometric screen-saver-like view for watching high-dimensional motion unfold.

Challenge your spatial intuition

Play Mode turns rotation into a puzzle. A cube begins rotating through a random configuration of axes. Use swipes and the axis selection button to counter-rotate it until the motion becomes still.

In Play Mode:
• Complete 3D to unlock 4D.
• Complete 4D to unlock 5D.
• Complete 5D to unlock 6D.
• Choose difficulty levels with faster starting motion.
• Higher difficulty requires a more precise stop.
• Track best times on leaderboards.

Customize the display

HyperRotation includes simple appearance controls for every mode:
• Show vertices only, or edges and vertices together.
• Choose from 8 display colors.
• View 3D projections of 3D, 4D, 5D, and 6D cubes.

Who it is for

HyperRotation is for people who enjoy mathematical visualization, abstract geometry, spatial reasoning, tesseracts, higher-dimensional objects, puzzles, or calm generative visuals.

Use it as a visualizer, a toy, a learning tool, or a quiet way to watch impossible geometry move.
