Fichess is a mobile client for the Free Internet Chess Server (FICS, freechess.org), an online chess server running since 1995.

REAL-TIME GAMES
- Rated and unrated games against real players
- Blitz, bullet, standard: choose your pace
- Create custom games with time, increment, ELO range and color choice via a full challenge modal, or accept challenges from the seek list
- Watch other players' games live, with filters for type, rated and bot exclusion

CHESSBOARD
- Drag & drop with an offset above your finger, so the piece stays visible
- Legal move indicators with dots and rings
- Premove for fast play: place your piece before your opponent moves
- 7 board themes: Classic, Blue, Green, Marble, Tournament, Elegant, High Contrast
