About this app

Teman GateGuard turns any residential or office building into a ai doorman building. It lets you:

- open your building's doors for guests from any mobile device,
- send guest unlock codes (and limit when they work),
- have packages picked-up and delivered,
- get your laundry and apartment cleaning done (where available),
- communicate with guests at the door
- communicate with management (where available),

and more.

PLEASE NOTE: This app ONLY works with the Teman GateGuard system, and ONLY if you are a tenant or building staff. You must get an invitation from your building's management or visit Teman.com to order GateGuard.

Ratings and reviews

In theory, this is a great app. I just wished it actually worked like it was supposed to! Ever since the recent update, the app wont ring my phone or make any sounds for that matter. So unless I'm near my phone or on the lookout for a visitor/delivery, I dont know when someone is buzzing me. UPDATE 11/10/2020: after Teman released a fix for their app in mid-December 2019, the app started to work properly, which was a great relief. So I've updated my stars from 1 to 4 stars.

Really barebones product. Will successfully open doors from time to time. No real notification options- you have to take what they give. Confuses delivery people, especially ones who don't speak English. No functionality to force buzz the door open from the app. No touch entry functionality from the app. Pretty sure it's a SaaS product too, no service status page so if it's not working you won't be able to tell if it's their system that's down. Hopefully they will take the feedback and improve.

It's nice to unlock the door from your phone, but shouldn't that be a minimum viable product from a "virtual doorman" system? The system is okay, but I have several objections to it: - No privacy guarantees, I have no idea if the company will sell this data to external 3rd parties - You must wait 10 seconds to unlock your door with the unlock code... It's not really usable without letting it look at your face. - The ringer is an "alarm" instead of a "call". Therefore, even when my phone is set on vibrate, it will loudly buzz me at work. The other option is to turn the alarm ringer off, but then I'm at risk of forgetting to turn it back up every night.
