Gatekeeper is Plap’s mobile app for event staff and organizers who need a fast, reliable way to check tickets at the gate.

With Gatekeeper, authorized users can sign in with their Plap account, view their events, review attendee information, and validate tickets in seconds. The app is built to help teams keep entry lines moving while reducing errors, duplicate check-ins, and unauthorized access.

Gatekeeper supports QR ticket scanning using your device camera, so staff can quickly scan attendee tickets and open the matching validation result. If needed, ticket codes can also be entered manually. This gives teams a practical fallback when a QR code cannot be scanned or when manual lookup is faster.

The app also helps staff stay on top of event activity by showing useful event and attendee information, including ticket status, attendee details, total scanned tickets, and ticket overview data. For events with multiple attendees or multiple tickets, Gatekeeper makes it easier to review records clearly and confirm the right entry decision.

What’s new

Updated Gatekeeper with Google sign-in improvements and event-specific ticket validation. Ticket scanning now validates against the selected event, uses the latest ticket response format, and correctly distinguishes first-time scans from repeat scans.
