About this app

textcuts is a keyboard for people who type the same message many times a day. Save a full reply once, and insert it in one tap from inside any app that has a keyboard.

HOW IT WORKS
Write a reply once and save it as a colored chip in your own library. Mark the parts that change as variables, a name or a date for example, so the same message template works for everybody. Switch to the textcuts keyboard inside any app and tap a chip: the full message goes straight into the text field. Fill in a variable in one tap from the values you used recently, with no retyping. In Hebrew, write a feminine form and a masculine form once and textcuts inserts the right one. Organize chips into folders, and find any saved reply with search.

WORKS IN EVERY APP
textcuts is a keyboard, not a place you copy text out of, so it works everywhere the Android keyboard appears. Use it in Messages, WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, Telegram, Gmail and any other mail app, in Slack, and in web forms in Chrome. WhatsApp is one example among many. After an insert, textcuts hands the keyboard straight back to the one you were using, so a saved reply never interrupts normal typing.

WHAT PEOPLE USE IT FOR
Canned responses for customer questions. Price lists, opening hours and booking confirmations. Bank details and payment instructions. Group links and directions. Intake questions and appointment reminders. Anything you have already typed by heart: therapists and counselors, workshop and course facilitators, small business owners, personal trainers, salon and beauty professionals, community and group admins.

FAST AND OUT OF THE WAY
Text expander behaviour without a learning curve: no abbreviations to memorize, no trigger phrases, no custom syntax to study. Chips are large, the fill in panel autofills from your recent values, and the whole flow is one tap plus one tap.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account and no sign in. Your textcuts live in the app's own private storage on the phone, and nobody else can read them. Optional anonymous usage analytics, which you can turn off in Settings at any time, carry event names and counts only: never the text of a textcut, never a value you fill in, never anything you type in another app.

ENGLISH AND HEBREW
Full right to left support, a Hebrew and an English mini keyboard in the fill in panel, and an app language setting that is independent of the phone. Textcuts can be exported to a file and imported again, so a backup or a move to another phone keeps everything.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Does textcuts read what I type? No. It inserts what you saved, and it never stores or sends what you type in other apps.
Where are my textcuts stored? In the app's private storage on your phone. Export them to a file whenever you want a backup.
Does it work in every app? Yes, anywhere an Android keyboard appears, including WhatsApp, Messages, Gmail, Instagram and more.
Do I need an account? No. There is no sign up, no email and no password.

Save the words you already know by heart, and spend the moment on the person reading them.
