Imagine a smart Dropbox that looks like Pinterest; only that it can also save websites next to your files and understands the content of each file. That's Batchbrew. Expect improvement updates and new feature being shipped each 2-4 weeks. Batchbrew is on its way to become your creative headquarter and currently ships with its initial useful features:
🏔️ What's the hype about??
I struggle a lot keeping all of my inspiration organised and accessing the right bits at the right time. I save great websites in my bookmarks, inspo collected at an art gallery in my photos app, research-papers in my local file system, product-design guides in my Dropbox, fashion inspo on my Pinterest and great podcasts in my watch-later queue on YouTube.
So many great ideas in podcasts, so many awesome designs saved from the web, so many useful tools in my bookmarks, and not a single place to combine them! If I start a new project, I want to access all the resources I saved before if they are relevant to help me solve my challenge.
☀️ How Batchbrew solves this problem
Batchbrew is on its way to become the tool that can handle all of the websites, PDF files, real-life pics, videos, YouTube vids, screenshots and podcasts in one place. Whenever I save something to Batchbrew, it's added to my knowledge base. I can now create a new "Space" for any topic I'm interested in or projects I'm working on, and pull in all the files, websites, vids and pics that can help me progress on my project. And in a few weeks, Batchbrew will ship a magic feature that makes it even easier to work with your knowledge base.
That's the vision! So what can Batchbrew do as of today?
☕️ This is what Batchbrew can do today already
- Save websites: browse the web from an integrated browser, and save a screenshot + the raw html file to your knowledge base if you want to keep something
- Create spaces: pull together the most relevant websites into "Spaces". Use them as learning tracks, mood boards or lists of great links to the web.
- Add saved websites to Spaces: you can link saved resources into a Space if you find it useful for that Space. This way the website is kept in your knowledge base but shows up in that space.
- Batchbrew is a desktop app too, with support for macOS and soon also Windows. The mobile apps serve as handy companions to save and access inspiration on the go!
- Your data is synced across devices and offline-available
🚀 Test your free trial
Batchbrew can be tested free of charge, but requires an upgrade at some point. I have worked relentlessly for the past year to build Batchbrew side to side with my day job, and am paying for the server costs from my own pocket to get the app I wish existed for the past 10 years off the ground. As I'm an independent developer without any investor, I cannot offer a fully free version.
> Free trial includes: 50MB of cloud storage, 3 Spaces, keyword search, macOS+Windows app. Limits may be adjusted anytime.
> Paid plans allow 5GB of cloud storage, unlimited searches, and are soon shipping with smart-search (tba!). Paid plans can only be upgraded to on desktop!
👨🏽🍳 Who's cooking it??
Hey I'm Giorgio, for the past years I've been working late nights and weekends, freelancing for early stage tech-startups to fund this App side to side to my day job. That includes prototyping the technology, creating and evaluating the designs, building the foundational data and file synchronisation technology, and saving up money to provide for the server costs and make it through the launch-time. This is a very special time for me, as I now switched full-time to Batchbrew. I started out building this app for myself, as I have so many interests ranging from music over art to technology and design. But I now notice that Batchbrew is a better way of saving and accessing information for every creative and driven person, and I want to share it with you so that it may be of use to you.
