About this app

TimePulse is a web-based GPS time, attendance, and field activity tracking platform built for South African businesses. It gives employers real-time visibility into when and where their staff are working, automates payroll calculations, and lets field employees capture structured data on the go — with no hardware or app installation required.

Core Attendance Tracking
Employees clock in and out from any smartphone or desktop browser. GPS coordinates are recorded at every clock event, with a Google Maps link saved per location. Clock-out requires a fresh GPS reading to prevent spoofed coordinates.

Live Employee Map
A real-time dashboard shows every clocked-in employee on a live map with green location pins, click-to-zoom, and detail popups showing name, location, and time on site.

Geofencing
Admins draw polygon or radius boundaries around sites and client areas. Clock-ins are automatically matched to the correct location. Staff outside all known boundaries are flagged as "Outside known area." Nested boundaries are supported.

Activity Log & Field Tracking
Field staff can log individual activities within a shift — client visits, deliveries, inspections. GPS is captured at the start and end of each activity, duration is tracked automatically, and the full day's route is visible on a map with start and end pins per stop.

Custom Form Builder
Admins build data capture forms for field staff with no coding. Field types include text, number (with units), dropdowns, checkboxes, and notes. Each field can appear at activity start, end, or both, and all captured data is stored per entry and visible in reports.

Anti-Buddy-Punching — Device Lock
Each device is bound to the first employee who logs in on it. A different employee attempting to log in is blocked until an admin approves via a 6-digit emailed verification code. Every device switch is audit-logged.

Facial Recognition (Pro)
Employees clock in and out using their face on any camera. Enrolment takes 60 seconds per person. The system identifies staff in under a second, captures GPS automatically, and saves a photo snapshot on every facial clock record. Facial-only staff (no email or password) are supported.

Overtime Tracking
Admins configure working days and hours. TimePulse automatically separates normal time from overtime on every shift, across timesheets, reports, and all exports.

Reports & Payroll Exports
Payroll reports are available in CSV, Excel, and PDF. They include a full employee summary, per-shift clock times, hours worked, overtime, GPS location per event, and admin notes. The Activity Log report adds a map view and all custom form data per stop.

Automated Alerts
Email notifications cover: clock-in, clock-out, missed clock-in, forgotten clock-out, and long shifts over 10 hours. Each alert type has its own configurable recipient list.

Pricing
The Free plan supports up to 3 employees with GPS clock-in/out, live map, and basic CSV export — no credit card needed. Pro is R250/month and unlocks unlimited employees, full reports, overtime tracking, Activity Log, custom forms, facial recognition, and payroll exports. Payments via PayFast; cancel anytime.
