The application allows you to discover the collection of the Ara Pacis Museum in a simple and exhaustive way, through the stories of the monument, conveyed through lively storytelling, entrusted to the voice of an exceptional narrator, Pax herself, the divinity made official by Augustus to whom the Ara Pacis was dedicated, which leads visitors to discover the monument.
The application of the Ara Pacis Museum presents an innovative way of using a museum visit with multiple levels of insight thanks to the aid of the BLE beacon technology that allows the visitor to easily orient himself in the museum rooms and 360° shots of unprecedented perspectives and breathtaking views.
The application, available in five languages (italiano, english, français, deutsch, español) has three macro-sections: Paths in stories, through which it is possible to access thematic paths with predetermined duration, Time line, with macro-line of time in which the works of the museum and the main related historical events are entered.
The Paths in Stories section presents three prepared paths that can be chosen by visitors based on their time availability:
1. Augustus and the Ara Pacis
2. The Pax Augustea
3. Augustan politics
Once one of the visit itineraries has been selected, users will cross the museum's rooms receiving, for each of them, the suggestion of the works in the vicinity affected by the chosen itinerary, thanks to BLE beacon technology.
By clicking on each work, users will have access to a detailed file consisting of an explanatory image, a related audio, and in some cases, an image gallery.
The application allows you to access some in-depth icons of each work:
-TEXT: to facilitate accessibility by users with hearing impairments, there is a text version of the audio track adapted and optimized for the deaf;
-MAP: for a better orientation in the spaces it will be possible to recall the museum map, in which the room in which the consulted work is located will be highlighted;
- TIMELINE: each work will be placed within a macro-chronology which allows to identify the historical period of realization and the related historical events.
The application also has these features:
-MiC map: through which visitors can view the location of the other museums in the Musei in Comune network;
-Search work: users will be able to get specific information on a single work by typing the corresponding number on the keypad.
