About this game

Hoshi (星, Japanese for star) is a free and competitive Star Battle game with daily challenges. Star Battle, also known as "Two Not Touch", is regularly published in the New York Times logic puzzle section. If you enjoy playing tricky puzzles and brain-teasing games and seek a new challenge, then you should give Hoshi a try.

If you have never played the Star Battle logic game before, don’t worry the rules are straight forward:
Similar to other logic puzzles you have a grid that you need to fill. In a normal 2 star “Two Not Touch” game each row, column, and region must have exactly 2 stars. Stars are not allowed to touch, even not diagonally.

Hoshi includes Star Battles with 1, 2 and 3 stars, but games with more stars are yet to come 😉


Hoshi offers you:
- Everyday we release a new number game (daily puzzle challenge)
- Track your solving time and compete against other players (leaderboards)
- There is also a weekly challenge for geniuses (3 star plus games)
- There are 5 different difficulties (easy to diabolical)
- Packs with hand-selected logic puzzle (e.g. for beginners)
- Guide with solving strategies
- Profile with stats about your skill level & progress

Coming soon:
- Add your friends and play with them a numbers puzzle
- Star Battle games with more than 3 stars

Ratings and reviews

Loved it before the most recent update. I should have at least be able to play the daily puzzle without watching ads to "refil" the counter or whatever. I understand the struggle of making a game and trying to make money off of it but the individual packs do add up to be quite pricey and unavailable to some people. I love this game, it's concept, and the art style but I wish it was just a little less focused on making a profit.

Unfortunately I can't play the packs, daily, or weekly challenges it just keep loading on those screens. I know this game just released so I'll change my review once these bugs get fixed. *edit- thank you so much I tried to reinstall the app again today and it worked. The game has been fantastic so far, I'm looking forward to seeing more from these developers

I really, really like this game! The daily challenges are very fun while I'm patiently waiting for more game levels 😊 Edit: Thank you so much for enabling the user to switch off the new feature of colored regions! I prefer the old look (though I'm sure some will prefer the new!) and it's very nice to see a developer thinking of seemingly small things like these :-)
