About this app

Caution:
This app is only intended for a qualified group of people with specialist knowledge in the field of vehicle technology, chassis and wheel alignment. Wheel alignment with this app is NOT possible without specialist knowledge!
Basics on http://www.app-achsvermessung.de

The app was developed for the hobby and motorsport sector.
The commercial use as well as the measurement and adjustment of vehicles that take part in public road traffic or are used for passenger transport is not permitted!

With AchsBoxPro, the Toe and the camber can be measured on almost every vehicle. The app enables the skilled hobby mechanic who is interested in chassis to carry out wheel alignment* in their own garage or directly on the racetrack.

In the field of motorsport, the time-consuming and space-consuming installation and alignment of sensitive measuring technology and its transport are no longer necessary.

The front axle can be set to any desired target track value using the integrated setting aid. From the vehicle-specific data and the actual toe, this calculates the required setting revolutions for each individual tie rod. This enables a rapid approach to the target toe value and, by including the Thrust Angle, guarantees a straight steering wheel when driving straight ahead.

The adjustment on the tie rod can be done with the steering wheel turned or after driving on a ramp.

Equipment and measuring equipment required:
(Sources of supply at http://www.app-achsvermessung.de)

- 1 cross line laser self-leveling
- 1 adjustable mini tripod (height approx. Wheel center)
- 3 folding rules

Supported vehicles:

All vehicles with four wheels and front axle steering are supported. The app works with all vehicle sizes and rim sizes.

* Scope of wheel alignment:

This app can be used to determine the track and the camber on the front and rear axles. Rim runout compensation is possible.

The following chassis data can be determined and logged with AchsBoxPro:

Front axle:
- Single and Total Toe based on the geometric travel axis (Thrust Angle)
- Camber when driving straight ahead
- Camber difference left to right
- Caster, Steering Axis Inclination (SAI), Toe Out on Turns (self-made turntables required)

Rear axle:
- Single and Total Toe based on the Geometric Centerline
- Thrust Line (Thrust Angle)
- Camber
- Camber difference left to right

Additionally:
- Difference in track width (Track Width Difference) at outer rim edges
- Front axle single and total toe based on the vehicle's median longitudinal plane (Geometric Centerline)
- Left and right wheelbase
- Suspension Hight
- Rim runout / measurement error
- Adjustment aid for tie rod adjustment

Functionality:

The distances between the laser and the rim flanges are measured and entered. The wheel positions (toe and camber) are calculated from these measured values and other vehicle-specific data. An exact alignment of the laser is not necessary thanks to the internal correction calculations.

Accuracy:

The accuracy of the system is 4 arc minutes. It was determined through numerous practical tests.

Output of the measurement results:

The results are clearly shown on the display. In addition, they can be saved in log form, sent / shared and thus also printed out.

Vehicles and measurements can be saved and retrieved. This enables the parallel processing of up to 6 vehicles.

AchsBoxPro target group:

The app was developed for the hobby and motorsport sector and may only be used by people with appropriate knowledge of chassis technology and wheel alignment.

The commercial use as well as the measurement and adjustment of vehicles that take part in public road traffic or are used for passenger transport is not permitted!
