About this app

Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium's Beach Conditions Reporting System (BCRS) is an application for the public to view beach conditions reports submitted by trained volunteer Beach Ambassadors. The BCRS provides real and near-time data from participating Florida beaches including parameters like flag color, water temperature, surf conditions, crowds, respiratory irritation, dead fish, beach amenities and many more! Users can also contribute reports of their own observations through the Community Science Portal on the BCRS. We aim to engage community members in scientific observation and aid in making informed decisions that can both protect public health and improve beach experiences.

Happy beach going!

App has become increasingly disappointing over the last year and a half. There is rarely up-to-date information and glitches constantly.

We're sorry to hear the app did not meet your expectations. The BCRS website and mobile app were experiencing some technical difficulties in March-April of 2023 that impacted the system's ability to perform certain functions. These issues have been resolved and the system is now fully operational. We hope you'll continue to using the BCRS.

The majority of beaches don't have updated conditions; conditions were updated 11 to 14 days ago. Pointless.

Interface is fine, but it does not load the reports. Just use the website.
