When you choose Light a Candle, Mt33 can suggest a simple prayer or spiritual activity for that moment. It is especially helpful when you want to pray but are not sure what to say or where to begin.

Over time, these recommendations can also help you discover different ways of encountering the Lord — including vocal prayer, Lectio Divina, meditative music, Eucharistic adoration, the Examen, offering your suffering, and acts of charity.

After you pray, you can light a candle on the Mt33 world map. Each candle represents a prayer offered by someone somewhere in the world.

Seeing other candles recently lit around the globe is a simple reminder:
• You are not praying alone.
• Your prayer is joined with the prayers of others.
• We belong to one universal Catholic Church.
• Through the intercession of the saints, our prayers can help bring a little more light into the world.

And you do not have to begin from the Light a Candle screen. Whenever you complete a prayer or prayer activity anywhere in Mt33, you can also choose to offer that prayer and light a candle.
