Ataru Cesium runs the business side of freelance and small-business work: the hours you put in, the invoices you send, the payments that come back and the tax you will owe. Everything works from the same records, so an hour logged once shows up in your invoice, your income and your tax estimate.

TRACK YOUR TIME
- A timer that keeps running when you close the app or switch to the web
- Log or edit entries by day, week or month, including work past midnight
- Projects and optional tasks for every client

BILL THE WAY YOU WORK
- Hourly rates per client or project, with a dated rate history so a new rate never reprices earlier work
- Per-unit pricing (a page, a word, a day), fixed fees with milestones, and retainers with an hours allowance
- Projects you do not bill for, tracked all the same

INVOICES AND PAYMENTS
- Generate a draft from your unbilled hours and delivered items, review it and send it by email or as a PDF
- Record payments as they arrive, in parts if need be; write off what you will not collect, carry a balance forward and keep notes on a dispute
- Overpayments kept as client credit, and a statement of account per client

EXPENSES, TAXES AND REPORTS
- One-off and recurring expenses
- A tax estimate built from your own flat or banded rates, with defaults for the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Ireland, counted on money received, invoiced or earned
- Income, hours worked, capacity and profit and loss reports, with exports

ALSO
- Time off and public holidays
- Sign in with email, Google or Apple; two-step sign-in available
- Your data is yours: export it any time, and delete your account from Settings

Cesium estimates tax; it does not file it or give tax advice.
