Notifications from a server you run — and nobody else can read them.

NotiPrivYO delivers alerts from your own machine to your own phone. Every message is sealed with your phone's own key before it leaves your server, so Google carries a locked blob and cannot open it. The notification you see is built on the device.

WHAT IT IS FOR

Your backup finished. A disk is nearly full. A deploy went out. A sensor tripped. Anything on your server that can make one HTTP call can tell you about it, instantly, without that message passing through anybody's service but Google's delivery pipe — as ciphertext.

HOW IT WORKS

• A key per phone. Each device generates its own X25519 keypair when it pairs. The private half never leaves the phone.
• Your Firebase, not ours. Delivery rides on your own free Firebase project. There is no account with us and no server of ours in the path.
• Sealed before sending. Your server seals each message separately for each phone using NaCl's sealed box. No title, no body, nothing to index.
• Built on the device. The notification is assembled on your phone, after it opens the box.

IN THE APP

• Channels down the page, newest message first, with unread counts
• Pull down to refresh
• Hold a message to select, then delete — or Select all
• Long-press a message to select its text and copy it
• Light, dark, or match your phone
• Optional fingerprint or PIN lock
• Nothing appears on your lock screen — not the message, not the count

THE SERVER IS FREE

One static binary. No runtime to install, no database server, no account. Windows, macOS, Linux, Raspberry Pi, FreeBSD and Docker. Download it, run it, answer three questions.

The full source is published under the AGPLv3, so every claim on this page is something you can check rather than take on trust:

WHAT WE COLLECT

Nothing. No account, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising identifier, no crash reporting. The app talks to your server and to Firebase for a delivery token. That is all.

REQUIREMENTS

• A machine that is on when you want to be notified — a NAS, a mini PC, a Pi, a VPS
• A free Google Firebase project of your own
• Android 8.0 or later

One payment, no subscription.
