Without a smartwatch:
PowerNap uses your phone's accelerometer to track movement. It waits at least 5 minutes (the average time to fall asleep), then extends that offset if you're still moving. Only once you've been still for a sustained period does it start your nap timer. No false positives, no premature alarms.
