FreightBook365 Truck Locator is a load and location tracking application designed for drivers and carriers operating within the FreightBook365 platform.
The app enables drivers to securely share their location while transporting assigned loads, providing carriers with improved visibility and operational awareness during active shipments.
Drivers sign in using a secure 6-digit verification code provided by their carrier. Upon authentication, the app associates the driver with the appropriate carrier account and displays loads available for tracking. No traditional username or password is required.
When a driver selects an active load, the app records and transmits GPS location updates at defined intervals. This information allows authorized carrier users to monitor load progress and coordinate logistics more effectively. Location updates are linked to active loads and are intended for shipment tracking purposes only.
FreightBook365 Truck Locator supports background location updates when permission is granted by the user. Background tracking allows location updates to continue while the app is not in the foreground, helping ensure consistent visibility during transport. Location access can be managed or disabled at any time through device settings.
The app is designed to operate reliably in real-world driving conditions and to minimize unnecessary battery usage while tracking is active. Session persistence is supported to reduce repeated logins while maintaining secure access controls.
