ScreenTreat turns screen time into positive habits. Stop battling over screen time and build a must-do routine before kids can access their daily screen time. For going the extra mile, kids can also earn bonus minutes.

How It Works:
Parents set must-do tasks (e.g., chores, hygiene, homework) for kids to unlock their regular daily screen time. Kids can also earn extra time by completing bonus tasks.
Parents set daily limits, bedtime and other custom off-screen schedules, select apps to block, manage existing tasks, or create custom ones. When screen time runs out or a blocked app is opened, ScreenTreat shows a friendly blocking screen instead.

1. Install ScreenTreat: Download the app and select "kid" or "parent" device.
2. Set Up Parent Controls: Allow the required permissions, define screen time limits, assign daily tasks, and create bonus tasks for extra screen time.
3. Let Your Kids Complete Tasks: Kids unlock their screen time by finishing Must-Do tasks and can earn more by completing Bonus tasks.

Start motivating your child by turning their chores into screen time rewards!

How much daily screen time should I give?
We recommend a daily limit of 30 minutes based on age and completed tasks. For kids aged 6-12, the total screen time (including Must-Do and Bonus tasks) should not exceed 2 hours on weekdays and 4 hours on weekends.

Accessibility Service:
ScreenTreat uses Android's AccessibilityService API. It is required for the app's core feature: blocking the apps a parent has restricted and enforcing screen time limits and schedules.
• What it accesses: only the name of the app currently on screen, each time a window opens or changes.
• Why: so ScreenTreat can show the blocking screen immediately when a restricted app is opened, or when screen time runs out, even when ScreenTreat itself is not open.
• What it does NOT do: it does not read what is typed, messages, passwords or other screen content, and it does not perform any actions on the device.
• This information is processed only on the device. It is not collected, sent to our servers, or shared with anyone.
ScreenTreat shows a disclosure and asks for your consent before taking you to Accessibility settings. You can turn the service off at any time in Settings → Accessibility, but app blocking will stop working.

Permissions:
• Accessibility Service (required): to detect when a restricted app is opened and show the blocking screen
• Usage Access (required): to measure how long apps are used
• Display over other apps (required): to show the blocking screen on top of restricted apps
• Notifications (optional): to send screen time alerts
• Unrestricted battery use (optional): to keep limits working after the screen turns off
