Stop dropping pieces. Start seeing the winning move.

BoldChess Trainer is a chess training app for club players who want to calculate cleaner, master tactics and reach 2000+ Elo. Solve hand-picked puzzles, drill openings and analyze your games, all in one place. Pay once, no ads, no subscription.

WHY IT IS DIFFERENT

• Pay once. No ads, no subscription, no locked levels.
• Your mistakes become puzzles: send the blunders from your analyzed games to a personal deck and solve them later.
• The same hand-picked tactics return in a new order. Repetition builds intuition, and nothing is hidden just because you solved it once.
• Puzzles are not labeled by theme, just like the positions in your own games. You find the winning idea yourself.
• Everything in one place: puzzles, Stockfish to play, an opening explorer and a game analyzer.
• The analyzer explains in plain words why a move lost, like "Loses a queen" or "Allows mate in 2".

PUZZLE TRAINER

• 1,222 hand-picked chess puzzles: checkmates, winning an advantage and saving drawn positions.
• Numbered sets of 5 to 50 puzzles, or a random mix. Any move that mates counts as a solution.
• Progress tracking: passes per set, solving times, a daily streak and session history.
• Leave mid-session and pick up where you stopped.

PLAY THE ENGINE AND LEARN OPENINGS

• Play Stockfish at levels from beginner to full strength, or at a rating you choose.
• Pre-moves: line up your reply while the engine thinks.
• Hints, best-move arrows and an evaluation bar when you need help.
• Opening explorer: move counts and results from rated games of 1800+ players, with the name of every line.
• Opening practice: drill a named line, or save your own lines and practice those.
• Every game you play against the engine is saved. Continue it later, or open it in the analyzer with one tap.

GAME ANALYZER AND PGN VIEWER

• Load any PGN or FEN, or set up a position on the board.
• The engine follows the board and shows its two best lines, with arrows and an evaluation bar.
• Analyze the full game: each move is graded by the winning chance it gave away, with accuracy for both sides.
• Try your own moves from any position. They are kept as lines you can step through.
• Share a game as PGN, or open a .pgn file from another app.

GOOD TO KNOW

• One-time purchase. No ads.
• Requires Android 13 or newer and an internet connection.
• Your games and progress stay stored on your device.
• Powered by the Stockfish chess engine, free software under the GPLv3.
