TaperLink Leader Kit is an offline-first formula studio for building print-ready tapered fly-fishing leaders—without guesswork at the vise.

Built for trout anglers, spey casters, club mentors, and fly-shop apprentices, it centers on a live taper workbench: lock butt diameter and tippet X-rating, choose a classic or custom formula, set overall length plus tippet-ring and bite-tippet options, then instantly read each segment’s diameter, length, material, knot junction, monofilament use, and wind-load notes.

LIVE TAPER WORKBENCH
Change butt, tippet, formula, or overall length and every segment length, diameter step, and total mono mass recalculates on the spot. Lock or unlock sections, toggle a tippet ring, add a bite tippet, and follow a color-coded junction list with the recommended knot at each step-down.

SEEDED FORMULA LIBRARY
Start fast with proven patterns: 50/30/20 dry-fly, Harvey-style compound, nymph indicator, stillwater long, saltwater shock, and furled-butt hybrid starters. Save, rename, duplicate, archive, and restore seeds whenever you need a clean baseline.

SPECIES & WATER PRESETS
Spring creek, freestone pocket, stillwater midge, bonefish flat, steelhead swing, and more auto-suggest tippet X and overall length bands so you begin in a sensible range for the water in front of you.

MATERIALS YOU ACTUALLY SPOOL
Keep a local catalog of nylon, fluorocarbon, and braid-butt stock with diameter charts and editable remaining-yard fields—planning stays honest to what is on your bench.

COMPARE, DIAGRAM, EXPORT
Run side-by-side compare on two saved formulas for length, tippet rating, and stiffness profile. Use the canvas taper diagram with proportional segment bars, then export a printable cut list or shareable formula card (text/PNG) through the system share sheet.

OFFLINE-FIRST & CLEAR-EYED
Your formula library stays on-device. A first-run guided tour gets you moving quickly, and an always-visible hobby disclaimer reminds you that formulas are educational planning aids—verify diameters and knots with a casting coach or fly shop before you fish.

TaperLink is a leader and tippet formula studio, not a catch log or gear scrapbook. Open the workbench, build the taper, leave with exact cut lengths.
