PleinScout is a map of places worth painting outdoors, built by a plein air painter for plein air painters, urban sketchers and anyone who paints from life.

Open the map and you'll find more than 3,000 researched outdoor painting spots across the US, Canada and England: overlooks, harbors, gardens, trailheads, old towns and quiet corners with good subjects, parking and shade. Each spot shows what you need before you load the car, whether you paint in watercolor, oil, gouache, acrylic or pastel, or sketch in ink.
