DrifterBuoy is the companion app for the Fastrrr DrifterBuoy (CMU-30) current measuring unit. Connect over Bluetooth to see the current right now, start and stop measurements, download logs and see each day's results on a map.

LIVE VIEW
• Live current speed and direction, updated every second
• The last finished measurement is shown under the live readings
• Start and stop measurements from your phone
• GPS and device details, plus today's measurements, on one screen with no scrolling

CURRENT MAP
• Each measurement is drawn as an arrow at the place it was taken, pointing the way the water flows
• Arrow length and colour (green to red) show speed at a glance
• Browse earlier days in the calendar; days without data are greyed out
• The map shows one survey at a time, so readings taken an hour apart in the same water don't overlap. You set the gap that separates two surveys (5 to 60 minutes) to suit your boat and course
• Days you've already downloaded stay available offline, even with no buoy connected

ESTIMATED CURRENT FIELD (OPTIONAL)
Turn on a layer that estimates the current between your measurement points. It fades out where the data is thin and never extends far past your readings. The app won't draw an estimate at all if a survey has too few readings or all of them lie in a line. Your measured arrows are always drawn on top, so you can tell real readings from the estimate.

LOG DOWNLOAD
• Download measurement files from the buoy's memory card. Each transfer is checked, so a damaged file isn't saved as if it were good
• Share logs with any app, or save them to Downloads/DrifterBuoy
• The map downloads the files for the day you pick automatically

REQUIREMENTS
• A Fastrrr DrifterBuoy (works with all firmware versions; v1.6.0 or later is recommended so the calendar can show your full measurement history)
• Android 8.0 or later with Bluetooth Low Energy

The app only talks to your buoy. It needs no account and no internet connection to measure, download or view your data.
