How statistical pair analysis works

Statistical arbitrage examines how the prices of two historically related assets behave relative to one another. When their relationship changes, measures such as the spread and Z-score can help identify and quantify the deviation.

A statistical deviation does not guarantee that prices will return to their historical relationship. StatArbHQ presents the underlying measurements so users can perform their own analysis.
