BlockNetwork is a free local app firewall for Android. Choose which apps can use the internet—and block the rest on your device.

WHAT IT DOES
• Block internet access for any app you select
• Allow trusted apps to stay online normally
• Use Android’s local VPN API as an on-device firewall (traffic for blocked apps is stopped on your phone—not routed through remote VPN servers)
• Optional alerts when a blocked app is opened (Accessibility can be enabled or left off)
• Keep your block list on the device—no account and no cloud sync required

WHO IT’S FOR
• Stop apps from using mobile data in the background
• Limit social, games, or streaming apps when you need focus or savings
• Simple network control without a complicated setup

HOW BLOCKING WORKS
BlockNetwork creates a local VPN interface on your device to enforce your rules. Allowed apps bypass the tunnel. Blocked apps’ internet traffic is discarded locally. This is an app firewall / internet blocker—not an anonymous VPN, IP hider, or private browsing network.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN
• Block lists stay on your device
• No paid subscription required for core firewall features
• You control VPN, notifications, battery settings, and optional Accessibility

GET STARTED
1. Install BlockNetwork
2. Pick apps to block
3. Start the local firewall
4. Confirm the system VPN prompt
