Use your family, friends, and other trusted associates as a virtual security shield. In times of uncertainty, use your phone as a body camera to share your location and recorded media. Share video, audio, and still images — you choose — with a network of Virtual Defenders that you select from your contacts list. Use the Emergency button to instantly alert your security alliance members that you require urgent assistance. Optionally contact emergency services, or first responders. Use the Lock button to secure your phone and prevent others from canceling your emergency alert.

This is an ad-free service that requires a monthly subscription in a range of prices depending on the expected usage or pay a minimal pay-as-you-go price and renew the service as required. There is no cost if you act only as a Virtual Defender of your friends. The service fee is collected to support cloud-based storage and infrastructure.

All data processed by the Application is fully encrypted to guarantee security. To protect your privacy old data is removed from the service periodically. You can remove any and all of your data from the service at any time. You have complete control over what's kept and what's shared, with whom and when.

A word about our business model.

This is not a for-profit venture. Our intent is to provide the best means of personal security for women and other vulnerable individuals at the lowest cost possible. Ideally, we would have liked to offer this application without cost to anyone. For example, we do not expect compensation for the time and effort that went into the development of this App, nor for the ongoing costs involved in maintaining it. However, we are a small operation and do not have financial backing from a third party. Moreover, any potential ad revenue would be insufficient to cover the ongoing costs associated with usage, and therefore we offer this App ad-free. Thus, we cannot afford to subsidize the costs incurred by all the users of this App. The math is very simple. Supposing that a million users download this App and incur just $1 of the cost charged by the Google cloud service which serves as a backend for this application. In aggregate, that's $1,000,000 owed to Google just for that one instance. We simply cannot afford to subsidize that amount of money. Hence, we ask each user to bear the cost of their usage through a subscription-based model, which is much more affordable when everyone contributes and shares the costs.

A word about permissions.

This is a powerful App with many capabilities, but it can only use these capabilities if you allow that by giving explicit permissions. Should you choose to cripple the App by withholding permissions, it will not be able to perform its basic functions. Please keep that in mind.
