Connection Blocker is a parental control app that empowers families and schools to manage when children can access the internet on their mobile devices, helping them focus on learning, homework, sleep, and family time. With the tap of a button or use of timers, parents can disable the internet on their children's cellphones from any browser-enabled device to render social media and internet apps useless. Once installed, it blocks those irritating ads as well to reduce distractions.
Healthy Digital Habits Designed to support healthier digital habits, Connection Blocker lets guardians set recurring schedules for internet access, reduce classroom distractions, and create boundaries that align with UNICEF and UNESCO guidance on digital wellbeing. Parents can manage up to five devices from their phone, tablet, or PC, ensuring distraction‑free study sessions, bedtime routines without screens, and more meaningful family interactions.
Simple & Flexible Control With simple scheduling, remote control, and cross‑platform availability on Android and the web, Connection Blocker makes it easy to protect focus and encourage better digital balance for children. Whether you are managing a single device or a small classroom, the interface is designed for immediate, reliable action.
Privacy-First Technical Design Connection Blocker uses the VPN functionality of an Android device to disable the internet connection. Unlike many other apps that use a VPN service, it does not send any internet traffic to an external server. The filtering and connection management happen entirely on the local device, ensuring your child's data and browsing activity remain private and secure.
Tamper-Proof Security Guard To ensure digital boundaries are respected, Connection Blocker includes a "Security Guard" feature. This feature uses the Accessibility API to monitor system settings and prevent children from disabling the protective filtering or altering security configurations. If a tamper attempt is detected, the app automatically restores protection.
Advanced Uninstall Protection Connection Blocker utilizes Device Administrator privileges to provide essential uninstall protection. This prevents the app from being removed without parental consent, ensuring that the boundaries you set remain in place.

VPN Service: This app uses VpnService to manage and disable the internet connection locally. All traffic management is performed on-device, and no data is transmitted to external servers.

Accessibility API: This app uses the Accessibility API solely for the "Security Guard" feature. It monitors system settings to prevent unauthorized tampering with the internet filtering service. It does not collect, store, or share any user data.

Device Administrator: This app uses the Device Administrator permission to provide uninstall protection, ensuring the app cannot be removed by the child without authorization.
