Brampi Otrod Bloom is a bench notebook for soft-cheese affinage. It turns a photograph of a ripening wheel's face into a coverage figure you can act on, and then tells you whether that figure is where it ought to be.

SET A WHEEL DOWN

Ten style profiles - small white disc, ashed pyramid, wrinkled dome, square brick and the rest - each given a date and a place on the rack.

PHOTOGRAPH THE FACE

Camera or a picture you already have. Every reading keeps its own dated frame, so one wheel builds a series you can look back along.

SCORE THE BLOOM

Tap across the lattice laid over the photograph to mark each patch of rind as bare, hazy or fully fleeced. The cells are counted and the coverage percentage comes back as you work.

READ IT AGAINST THE BAND

The curve is plotted over the style's own modelled growth band, with the deviation read in days - running ahead, running behind, or true - and a 28-day heat strip showing where the gain actually came from.

NAME THE FAULT, LOG THE ACT

A seven-plate stage ladder and a nine-plate rind-defect key - slip skin, toad skin, blue patch, bare window and the others - then record what you did about it: turn, brush, vent, wrap, damp cloth, or a move down the shelf. Each act is marked on the curve and kept on the wheel's timeline.

ON THE DEVICE

Fully offline. The app never writes into your photo library - the photographs it holds are the ones you handed it. Remove a frame, delete a reading, or take a wheel off the board entirely, whenever you like.

WHO IT IS FOR

Affineurs and small dairies watching a room full of wheels, cheesemaking students, and home makers who want the rind read by the same measure every time.
