Rain Radar — live weather radar map, rain alerts and forecast

See exactly when rain reaches you. Rain Radar shows a live weather radar map of rain, snow and lightning around your location, animated over the past hours and predicted up to 3 hours ahead — so you know whether to grab an umbrella, start the run, or just wait ten minutes.

🌍 REAL RADAR, WORLDWIDE
Rain Radar uses the best source available for wherever you are: NOAA MRMS radar across the United States, the EUMETNET OPERA network across all of Europe, and global radar coverage everywhere else. Zoom in on your own street, or pull back and watch a rain front move across the country.

🗺️ WHAT YOU CAN PUT ON THE MAP
✅ Live rain radar — animated precipitation for the past hours
✅ Rain prediction — future radar up to 3 hours ahead
✅ Lightning — as its own layer, or drawn right on top of the rain radar
✅ Precipitation type — the radar tells rain, snow, freezing rain and ice pellets apart
✅ Clouds, temperature, wind and snow depth — with live city temperatures and wind speeds right on the map
✅ Tap anywhere on the map to read the value at that exact spot
✅ Photos shared by other users nearby
✅ In selected countries: high-resolution local radar, hail and road cameras

🔔 ALERTS THAT ACTUALLY MATTER
Get a rain alert when precipitation is about to start at your location — and another when it is about to stop. Severe weather warnings issued by national weather services — storms, wind, snow and the rest — appear on the map and in your notifications. Pick the hours and the days you want to hear from us, and nothing more.

📊 FORECAST, NOT JUST RADAR
Hourly and daily weather forecast with precipitation probability, temperature, wind, humidity, pressure and conditions — for your current location or any city you search for.

🏠 WIDGETS AND ANDROID AUTO
Put the live radar map on your home screen with a resizable weather widget, with light or dark text and adjustable transparency. Rain Radar also runs in Android Auto, so you can check the radar on the road.

⚙️ BUILT TO FIT HOW YOU READ WEATHER
Set radar transparency and smoothing, choose animation length and speed, switch between light, dark and dark blue themes, and use the units you think in — °C or °F, km/h, mph, m/s, knots or Beaufort, hPa, mmHg, inHg or bar.

🌎 TRUSTED WORLDWIDE SINCE 2014
Rain Radar is built for speed: light on battery and mobile data, straight to the map on launch, no waiting around.
