Task2Play: do chores, earn screen time

Sound familiar? The same argument every day about the phone, the tablet and the console. Task2Play is the screen time app for kids that turns the daily fight into a fair system: your children do chores around the house and earn their media time themselves.

HOW IT WORKS

1. You set the chores and give each one a value in minutes. For example: empty the dishwasher = 15 minutes, take out the trash = 10 minutes.
2. Your child completes the chore and ticks it off in the app. The earned time lands on their own time account.
3. When they game, watch TV or play on the tablet, the time used is deducted from the account. Fair, transparent and visible to everyone.

Instead of bans and negotiations there are clear rules: chores bring a reward, and the reward is screen time. Kids learn the link between contribution and result along the way.

YOUR BENEFITS AS A PARENT

• Fewer daily discussions: the system runs in the background, you only step in when needed.
• Manage screen time without a control app: Task2Play blocks nothing and monitors nothing. It motivates. If you want guardrails, set them gently: an optional daily limit and quiet time in the evening instead of a device lock.
• Transparency for everyone: each child sees their own time account, you see all of them at a glance.
• Family organisation made easy: chore distribution, calendar, history and statistics in one place.

FEATURES

• Own time account for every child: completed chores are credited, used time is deducted.
• Family Bonus: a shared weekend reward (pizza night, cinema, swimming pool) that only the whole family can unlock together. Team spirit instead of competition.
• Reward catalogue: earned minutes can also be traded for non-screen rewards, for example staying up later, going out for ice cream or a board game night.
• Family media rules: rules agreed together, visible to everyone in the app. The best ones apply to parents too.
• Gentle guardrails: an optional daily redeem limit per child and quiet time in the evening, with no locks at all.
• Age-appropriate guideline values from German health authorities and paediatric societies, plus tips for parents right in the app.
• Kid mode with PIN protection: kids only see their own area, settings stay protected.
• Works offline: everything is stored locally and syncs automatically as soon as there is internet again.
• Free cloud sync: your data stays in sync on all of the family's devices.
• Statistics and calendar: who did what, and when? Weekly review and trends at a glance.
• Several children: each with their own chores, own account, own pace.
• Lovable mascots that cheer your kids on and celebrate their wins.

PRIVACY IS NOT NEGOTIABLE

Task2Play is developed in Germany. No ads, no ad tracking, no sale of data. Statistics and crash reports only with your consent, never for children. Family data is stored with Google Firebase, purchases run through Google Play and RevenueCat. You delete your account any time right in the app; as the last member, all data of your household goes with it.

WHO IS TASK2PLAY FOR?

For families with children aged about 6 to 14 who want to connect chores and rewards fairly. Younger kids love the visual feedback and the mascots, older ones learn responsibility with their own time account.

WHAT DOES TASK2PLAY COST?

The basic version is free, including cloud sync and backup. With the optional Pro subscription (€2.99 a month or €9.99 a year) you share your household with the second parent or further devices. Joining is always free, one subscription per household is enough.

Download Task2Play now and turn the fight over screen time into a family project where everyone wins.
