KyPost provides a truly private email experience by putting you in complete control. It is the privacy
email client for individuals who understand that true data ownership begins with self-hosting. Instead of
trusting a third-party provider with your messages and contacts, the KyPost ecosystem allows you to
run your own mail relay and contact server, ensuring your digital life remains securely in your hands.
Your Data, Your Server
Take back control with a self-hosted architecture designed for data sovereignty. The KyPost app does
not store your mail credentials on your device; instead, it communicates directly with your own KyPost
server instance. This fundamental design choice eliminates common security risks and ensures that you
are the sole custodian of your information. The system is engineered for maximum control with minimum
setup: a set-and-forget server deployment paired with easy replication to all your mobile devices.
• Host your own mail relay using the official Docker container for complete authority over how your mail
is processed and routed, free from external data scanning or analysis.
• Keep your mobile device secure by design, as the app stores zero mail credentials locally, meaning
that even if your device is compromised, your core account access remains safe.
• Replicate your setup effortlessly across multiple devices by simply pointing a new installation of the
app to your server, and your secure communication environment is ready to go.
• Enjoy the confidence that comes from knowing exactly where your data resides with a self-hosted
privacy email client, no longer subject to the policies of external providers.

Robust Security as Standard
KyPost integrates powerful, practical tools to protect your communications. A modern privacy email client
must offer more than just encryption; it must provide a comprehensive suite of features to defend against
a variety of threats. From secure key exchange to multi-factor login approvals, every feature is built to
give you an advantage in protecting your digital identity.
• Exchange PGP public keys with ease using a dedicated screen that displays your public key as a QR
code for others to scan, and lets you scan their codes to save keys to contacts.
• Secure your account with multi-factor authentication (MFA) by approving or denying login attempts
from new devices using simple push notifications for an added layer of security.
• Never miss an MFA request, as an in-app screen provides a reliable alternative for approving or denying
logins if your device's background limits block the push notification.
• Activate the unique hostile location mode for ultimate protection, ensuring that if you lose your device,
an unauthorized user who gains access gets absolutely nothing from the app.
An Organized and Efficient Inbox
A secure workflow shouldn't be complicated. KyPost provides an intuitive interface with powerful
organizational tools to help you manage your incoming mail efficiently, allowing you to focus on what's
important without distraction. Customize your inbox layout and notification behavior to perfectly match
your needs.
• Organize your inbox with keyword-driven tabs that are configured on your server using labels and
fields, allowing the app to automatically sort incoming mail into categories you define.
• Control how you receive new mail alerts by selecting your preferred delivery mode, choosing `push`
for instant notifications or `pull` to have the app fetch mail periodically.
• Maintain a complete notification history within the app, so even if you dismiss a system notification,
you can review a log of new mail alerts later and never miss a key message.
• Personalize your visual experience with custom themes that are shared with the KyPost web application
for a consistent look and feel, with "Patina Ky" set as the default.
