🔒 PRIVACY & PERMISSIONS
No ads. No account. No analytics of our own. Every permission is optional; decline one and only that feature turns off.

Special access (granted in system Settings):
- Notification access: badges and the Notification Wing. Notification content never leaves your phone.
- Usage access: Smart Sort, Smart Panel, and per-app battery estimates. Stays on your phone.

Optional permissions:
- Microphone: Android requires it for any music visualizer. HoneyCrisp reads the audio already playing and never opens the microphone or records.
- Camera: Camera Wall only. Nothing is saved or recorded.
- Approximate location: weather, sunrise/sunset theming, and Smart Panel home/work context (saved only on your phone). Never precise GPS.
- Calendar (read-only): shows events. HoneyCrisp cannot change them.
- Nearby devices: shows whether headphones are connected. No scanning or pairing.
- Notifications: charging alerts.

Standard: widgets, vibration, audio-effect access for the visualizer, swipe-down to open the notification shade, and an uninstall shortcut (Android always asks you to confirm).

What goes online:
- Weather: your location, rounded to about 11 km, is sent to Open-Meteo (no account).
- Link previews: pinning a link fetches that page's title and image.
- Handwriting: the recognition model is downloaded once from Google, then runs on your device. Google ML Kit also sends Google diagnostics (device model, performance stats, error codes, and a per-install ID).
Your layouts, notes, notifications, and usage history stay on your phone.
