MCDM Pro is a sophisticated Multi-Criteria Decision Making tool designed to help users solve complex problems by mathematically evaluating different choices against multiple factors.
Here is a brief overview of how the application works:
1. The Core Purpose
In real life, decisions (like buying a car, choosing a city to live in, or selecting a project vendor) involve trade-offs. You might want the highest quality but the lowest price. This app uses professional decision-science algorithms to calculate the "best" choice based on your specific priorities.
2. How it Works (The Workflow)
• Method Selection: You choose which mathematical engine to use.
◦ Weighting Methods: (AHP, BWM) determine which criteria (e.g., Price vs. Quality) are most important to you.
◦ Ranking Methods: (TOPSIS, MARCOS, PROMETHEE) calculate the final score for each option.
• Setup: You define your Criteria (what matters) and your Alternatives (your options).
• Comparison: You compare criteria in pairs. For example, "How much more important is Price than Quality on a scale of 1 to 9?"
• Performance Input: You enter the data for each option (e.g., Car A costs $20k and has a 5-star safety rating).
• Results: The app runs the hybrid algorithm and provides a ranked list with scores, showing you exactly which option is mathematically superior.
3. Key Technical Features
• Professional UI: Built with Jetpack Compose (Material 3), featuring a modern indigo/teal professional theme and adaptive scrolling for complex data entry.
• Credit Economy: A built-in system where users earn credits by watching Rewarded Ads (AdMob) and spend 1 credit per calculation. This allows the app to be free while being sustainable.
• Reliable Logic: The backend contains custom Kotlin implementations of several advanced algorithms, including Fuzzy TOPSIS for handling uncertain data.
• Persistence: Your credit balance is saved securely using Jetpack DataStore, so it’s always there when you return.
In short, it’s a "Decision Intelligence" app that takes the guesswork out of difficult choices using the same methods used by industrial engineers and corporate planners.
