1. Information We Process
🔒
Core Requirement: Spendly requires the "Notification Access" permission on your phone to provide automatic expense logging.

We read your device notifications exclusively to locate incoming texts or alerts from banking, payment, and financial applications. We use this data to extract transaction amounts, merchants, and dates in order to organize your dashboard effectively.

2. How Your Notifications Are Handled
No Storing of Personal Messages: We do not store or read personal notifications from your text messages, social media, or communication apps unless they contain specific transaction-related keywords.
100% Local Processing: All parsing algorithms run locally on your device's hardware. Your notification content is immediately discarded from memory once scanned.
No Servers: We do not operate external cloud servers that receive or backup your transaction data. Everything is contained securely inside the Spendly app environment on your phone.
3. Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your financial data or device activity with third-party advertisers, companies, or analytics providers. Your financial activity is not monetized.

4. User Rights and Deletion
Because your data is strictly stored locally, you have total control. Revoking the "Notification Access" permission will immediately halt any future processing. You may permanently delete all categorized transactions, analytical data, and app preferences simply by clearing the application data in your device settings or uninstalling the Spendly app.
