ShiftIQ records how your Ford's automatic transmission shifts and tells you which shifts were not like the others.

Plug in an OBDLink MX+ adapter, start a drive, and the app reads what the truck's own computers report: the gear the computer commands, the ratio the transmission delivers, engine and road speed, throttle, torque, fluid temperature and shifter position, several times a second. When you park, you get a report.

WHAT THE REPORT TELLS YOU
- Every shift, timed from the command to the new ratio arriving, and graded against this vehicle's own usual: smooth, slow, flared, or did not settle.
- How each gear held its ratio, so a gear that sits off its ratio stands out.
- Fluid temperature through the drive, confirmed against the engine's coolant sensor.
- Any moment you (or a passenger) marked with one tap: Harsh shift, Slip or flare, Clunk, Hesitation, with the truck's state at that moment.
- Watch one kind of shift, the 5th-to-4th you keep feeling, say, and every report sets each one out with how the engine speed moved as it took hold.

The report is plain Markdown. Share it with your mechanic, keep it, or paste it into an AI assistant and ask questions: it is written to be read without the app.

IT ONLY READS
ShiftIQ sends a vehicle three kinds of read request and nothing else. It cannot change a setting, clear a code, reset adaptive values or touch anything on the vehicle. Nothing is uploaded: there is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, and the app has no network access. Your drives stay on your phone and leave it only when you share a file.

WHAT YOU NEED
- An OBDLink MX+ Bluetooth adapter (sold separately). Other adapters, including BlueDriver and Wi-Fi scanners, do not work with this app.
- A Ford with one of the transmissions below.

VEHICLES
Supports: Ford F-150 2017–2024 and Ford Expedition 2018–2024 with the 10-speed automatic (10R80); Ford Expedition 2007–2008 with the 6-speed automatic (6R75). Verified on a 2021 F-150 and a 2007 Expedition.
Not supported yet: 2009–2017 F-150 and Expedition (6R80).
Other Ford and Lincoln vehicles with these transmissions may work; the app tells you on connection, and its Discover tab reads what an unknown vehicle offers so it can be added in an update.

NOT FOR USE WHILE DRIVING
Set up and start recording while parked, and leave the phone alone until you are parked again. ShiftIQ shows diagnostic data only. It is a supplement to a licensed technician, not a replacement, and it is not a diagnosis.

Introductory price. The price will rise as more vehicles are verified.
