Tired of endless scrolling through Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts?

FeedBrake helps you stop mindless scrolling, reduce distractions, and take control of your screen time without blocking the entire app.

Unlike traditional app blockers, FeedBrake focuses on short-form video feeds. Keep using Instagram and YouTube while interrupting the endless Reels and Shorts loop.

BLOCK INSTAGRAM REELS AND YOUTUBE SHORTS

• Block Instagram Reels without blocking the whole Instagram app.
• Block YouTube Shorts while keeping regular YouTube videos available.
• Choose which short-video feeds to protect.
• Automatically interrupt supported feeds when protection is enabled.
• Keep access to useful content without getting stuck scrolling.

STOP DOOMSCROLLING AND STAY FOCUSED

Opening an app for a quick task shouldn't turn into hours of scrolling. FeedBrake helps you:

• Break the habit of mindless scrolling.
• Reduce distractions from short-form videos.
• Stay focused while studying, working, or relaxing.
• Build healthier phone habits and use social media intentionally.

MINDFUL BREAKS, NOT COMPLETE RESTRICTIONS

Want to watch short videos intentionally? Stay in control with flexible options:

• Pause protection for 5, 10, or 15 minutes.
• Use a two-minute viewing allowance when you choose.
• Resume protection whenever you're ready.

The goal isn't to quit social media. It's to decide when and how you use it.

TRACK YOUR PROGRESS

• See blocked feed attempts and viewing allowance counts.
• View estimated time saved based on your chosen minutes per block.
• Review your progress toward less mindless scrolling.

Estimated time saved is not a measurement of actual screen time.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

• No FeedBrake account required.
• No ads or analytics SDK.
• Feed detection happens on your device.
• Preferences and minimal protection statistics stay locally stored.
• No browsing history is uploaded to external servers.

SIMPLE SETUP AND CONTROL

• Set up Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts protection.
• Check protection and permission status.
• Run guided tests to verify supported feed detection.
• Pause or resume protection as needed.
• Optionally receive protection status notifications.

HOW FEEDBRAKE WORKS

With your permission, FeedBrake uses Android's AccessibilityService API to detect supported Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts interfaces. When a supported feed appears, it performs the Back action to interrupt scrolling.

FeedBrake does not remove Reels or Shorts tabs, modify Instagram or YouTube, read your messages or passwords, capture your screen, or upload browsing history. You can turn off protection or revoke Accessibility permission at any time.

WHO IS FEEDBRAKE FOR?

FeedBrake is for anyone who wants to:

• Stop scrolling Instagram Reels.
• Block YouTube Shorts distractions.
• Reduce doomscrolling and build better screen time habits.
• Improve focus for work or study.
• Use Instagram and YouTube more intentionally.

LESS SCROLLING. MORE YOU.

You don't have to quit your favorite apps to reduce distractions. FeedBrake helps you keep the useful parts and break the short-video scrolling loop.

COMPATIBILITY AND DISCLAIMER

Requires Android 8.0 or later. Detection depends on supported app interfaces and may not work on every device, app version, or navigation path.
