Snap the receipt. Your whole household knows what's in the kitchen, and what to eat first.

Tengo keeps one shared food inventory for your fridge, freezer and pantry, freezer inventory included. See what's at home before you shop, and use things while they're still at their best.

ReFED estimates that an average US family of four throws away about $3,000 of food a year. Tengo is built to make the food you already bought easier to see and use in time.

LESS TYPING
• Add food by barcode, by hand, or from a receipt, a photo of your groceries, a typed list or a voice note.
• Tengo turns photos and text into suggestions you check line by line. Nothing is added until you confirm it.
• Label dates are read together with the words next to them, so "use by" and "best by" stay different. If no date is printed, the date stays empty: Tengo never guesses.

ASK OR TELL TENGO
• Type or say "we finished the milk" or "what should we use first?". Tengo answers from your records; any change it suggests waits for your OK and can be undone.

USE IT FIRST
• The Use first list and widget show what to eat soon.
• Reminders before dates come up, so the spinach gets used: an expiration date tracker the whole household shares.
• Recipes you can make with what's recorded, and a week plan built around it.
• Cook mode walks you through a recipe step by step, with timers, and records what you used.
• Rough household calories from labels or typical values: an estimate, not a diet tracker.
• Widgets, and a Wear OS app for Use first and the shopping list.

ONE KITCHEN FOR THE HOUSEHOLD
• Invite the people you live with. Everyone sees the same food, places and shopping list.
• Check things off the shared list as you shop, so nobody buys a second jar.
• Official recall notices that may concern your food, where sources are available for your country.
• Budget and spending reports from what you record. Export your data any time.

FREE AND TENGO PLUS
Free: inventory, meal plans, sharing, reminders, shopping list, barcode scanning, recall notices, reports and export, with no cap on the food you track. You also get 10 AI units a month to try receipt, photo, list and voice capture.
Tengo Plus adds 200 AI units a month for the whole household (one unit per photo, list, voice note, message to Tengo or calorie estimate; suggested week plans use none). One subscription covers everyone in your kitchen. Units reset every month. Running out never locks your food: typing and barcodes always work.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No ads. No tracking. AI only reads the photos and text you choose to send, and only after you agree. Before you start, the app tells you which AI service processes them and where. Photos lose their location data and are deleted after 24 hours. Delete your account and data in the app whenever you like.

Tengo helps you keep track of food. It doesn't tell you whether food is safe to eat: always go by the label and your own judgment.
