Bud is built for dog owners, by a dog owner.

The walking app that finally answers the questions you're always asking: Can I let my dog off the lead? Is there livestock? How muddy is it? Is there parking? Fresh water? Will I actually have phone signal?

No fitness app, hiking app, or mapping tool does this. They're great for hikers and trail runners - but they weren't built with your dog in mind.

Bud was.

WHAT MAKES BUD DIFFERENT

Every community walk on Bud comes with dog-specific intelligence:

- Off-lead areas - know before you go whether your dog can run free
- Livestock warnings - avoid fields with sheep and cattle, or plan accordingly
- Mud levels - from "spic and span" to "apocalyptic"
- Parking info - free, paid, or roadside
- Fresh water availability - streams, rivers, and dog-friendly water stops
- Phone signal - so you know if you'll be off-grid
- Difficulty ratings - tailored for dog walks, not fell running

DISCOVER 34,000+ STARTING POINTS

Where the community is still developing, you can still find your way with Bud! Bud maps public footpaths across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Bud Free shows you walks within 10km of home, and Bud Premium opens up the whole map, so wherever you're exploring, there's a route waiting for you.

COMMUNITY-POWERED WALKS

Bud's walking community shares real, dog-tested routes with honest detail. No sponsored content, no algorithms - just genuine walks from people who've actually done them with their dogs.

RECORD AND SHARE YOUR WALKS

Walked somewhere brilliant? Record your route with GPS tracking, even with your phone locked in your pocket. Add the details that matter (off-lead sections, livestock, conditions) and share it with the Bud community. Your walk could be the one that helps another dog owner discover their new favourite route.

BUILT FOR DOGS, NOT JUST OUTDOORS

Bud exists because the founder spent eight years wishing this app existed. After one too many walks into fields full of sheep with no warning, or mud-caked car journeys home that could have been avoided, he built it.

We're growing every day - join 2,000+ dog walkers already sharing the routes and intelligence that make every walk better.

We'd love your feedback. Bud is built with its community, not just for them.
