LockedWeb is a porn blocker you cannot switch off.

There is no disable, no pause, and logging out doesn't turn it off. Removing LockedWeb — or loosening any block — takes a 72-hour wait plus a one-time unlock code, every time, for everyone. That delay is the product: the moment of weakness passes long before the lock does.

WHY LOCKEDWEB USES VPN PERMISSION (ANDROID VpnService)
LockedWeb is a content filter for adults and families, and it uses Android's VpnService to apply that filter to the whole phone. The VPN runs on this device and carries DNS lookups only: every website name the phone looks up travels through the tunnel to LockedWeb's own filtering service, which answers blocked or allowed. That connection is encrypted end to end with DNS-over-HTTPS.

Content filtering is what LockedWeb does, and VpnService is the only way to do it in every browser and every app instead of one app at a time. Features that depend on it:

• Blocking adult sites phone-wide, in every browser and app
• Blocking the extra sites you add to your own list
• The "Protection active" status shown in the app and in your LockedWeb account
• Alerting you, and an accountability partner if you choose one, when protection is switched off

LockedWeb is not a general-purpose VPN. It does not route or inspect the pages you load, change your IP address or location, redirect traffic, show ads, or send anything to a third party. Before the filter turns on, the app explains what the VPN does and asks you to allow it; Android then asks for its own VPN permission, and you can decline.

TWO WAYS TO SET IT UP
• Standard — installs in about a minute on the phone you already use. The uninstall lock is on, so removing LockedWeb goes through the 72-hour unlock.
• Maximum — the strongest lock. LockedWeb is installed as the phone's owner during first-time setup, so it can't be uninstalled from the phone. Set up by scanning a code at the phone's Welcome screen.

Both are managed from your LockedWeb account on the web. The app itself has no settings to weaken and nothing to buy.

WHAT YOU GET
• Blocks adult sites in every browser and app on the phone
• Add your own blocked sites; adding is instant, removing takes the 72-hour unlock
• Optional accountability partner who is told when protection is challenged — never what you browsed
• Works alongside LockedWeb on Windows, Mac, iPhone and iPad under one account

BUILT FOR PRIVACY
LockedWeb is a filter, not a monitor. It does not keep your browsing history, take screenshots, read messages, or track your location. Website names are checked against the filter and answered blocked or allowed; they are not retained. LockedWeb keeps only a count of blocked categories and this device's protection status, and shares them with no one. Your partner sees attempts, not sites.

WHO IT'S FOR
Adults who want a blocker that holds when they don't, and families who want the same lock on a child's or teen's phone with the parent holding the unlock.

SETUP
Install the app, then follow the guided setup in your LockedWeb account at lockedweb.com to link this phone with a device code. The app walks you through the remaining steps on the phone and tells you when nothing is left to do.

BILLING
LockedWeb is a subscription managed on the web at lockedweb.com. Nothing is sold or unlocked inside the app.
