You get one shot per run: a steam catapult, a two-tap meter, and whatever aircraft your coins have paid for so far.

Scrap Wings starts you with a folded paper dart on the deck of a carrier out at sea. It has wings and nothing else - no tail, so it will not fly straight; no engine, so it will not fly far. Every metre you fly pays coins, every coin buys a part, and every part visibly bolts onto the plane. A tail gives you a straight line. An engine gives you thrust. A bigger tank keeps it burning. Twenty-two runs later you are threading a storm fighter between a titan's legs.

REAL FLIGHT, NOT A FLING
The plane is simulated as an honest point-mass aircraft. Climbing bleeds speed. Diving buys it back - steeper is faster, right up to terminal velocity. Air thins as you climb, so every engine has a ceiling you can feel. Let go of the stick and the plane trims itself into a steady glide; fly it properly and you will beat that trim by half again. The wings you have bought set your glide ratio, and you notice the day you can afford the next set.

THE LAUNCH IS A SHOT
One bar. Tap to lock the power, tap again to aim. Nail the centre line for a PURE SHOT and the catapult answers with a kick. Miss the green and the plane leaves the deck crooked and fights you for the first few seconds.

THE LANDING IS A MINI-GAME
Come down level with the ground you are landing on, soft, and slow, and you keep the bonus. Come in crooked and the wings tear off. Come in hot and the gear rips away. Ground-effect chop rocks the wings on the way down and you have to fly it out.

THE SKY HAS A LID
Rough air waits above a certain altitude, and it only gets worse the higher you push - hard sink, a real shake, and it eats your airspeed. Storm cells drift in the cruise band. The fast road is low.

TWENTY-TWO RUNS, TWENTY-TWO PLANES
A toy backyard, a farm valley with bridges to duck under, dust-bowl mesas, the High Alps, a night city, salt flats under meteors, a slot canyon, a cave with a real roof, a scrapyard of junk towers. Three Border Runs where laser masts sweep the sky and a missile follows the moment one touches you. The corridors of a giant ship. Tornado Alley, Skull Island and its ape, Dragon's Peak, a balloon barrage, the Moon, a spirit river, and a sea wall with titans behind it. Every run is its own machine - paper dart to seaplane, triplane to moon lander.

ACHIEVEMENTS
Forty-six badges: clear every run, master every run with three stars, and the two that say you did it all.

THE DEEP
An endless cave that never opens out and closes in the deeper you fly. Full plane, bottomless tank, no clock. Just you, the rock, and one number.

THINGS TO CHASE
Gold rings trace the racing line and pay more as a chain - and they come back, so a long flight can thread the same course twice. Rings hang in every bridge gap and up in the rough air, where they are worth double. A hot-air balloon drifts somewhere over the course, in a different place every launch; catch it and your next run carries strap-on rockets that stage off and tumble away when they burn dry.

ONE PHONE, MANY PILOTS
Every run keeps a top-five board with names on it, and The Deep keeps the five deepest dives. Land on a board, sign it, hand the phone over.
