A little time for yourself, each day.

Anushtanam helps you make room for Gayatri Mantra japa. Listen and learn the words, count your repetitions, and return to your practice at a pace that feels right for you.

BEGIN WHERE YOU ARE
Listen to the reference audio and practise the pronunciation. Read the mantra in Sanskrit, English transliteration, or both. After a spoken practice session, see feedback on the words you recited.

KEEP YOUR COUNT
Use the microphone for verbal (vykari) chanting in Japa. For mental japa, use the Sandhya counter or enter your count when you finish. Pause when you need to and keep a record of your practice.

MAKE ROOM FOR SANDHYA
See morning, midday and evening Sandhya times for your chosen location. Choose your mantra counts and turn on reminders to help you prepare and begin. Reminder delivery depends on your phone settings.

CHOOSE A PERSONAL GOAL
Set a number of recitations you would like to complete. Follow your progress and look back at past goals. Take your time. Your practice is your own.

LEARN A LITTLE AT A TIME
Explore the practice guide, read notes for reflection, and return to the words that need more attention. Your session history helps you see how your practice is growing.

STAY CONNECTED
Sign in to sync your practice history and settings with your account. Families can link their accounts so parents can follow their children's practice and offer encouragement. Choose a light or dark appearance to make the app feel comfortable for you.

THE MEANING OF ANUSHTAANAM
Anushtaanam is a practice you do for yourself, to know who you truly are. The app draws on Advaita, the understanding that Jivatma, the self within each of us, and Paramatma, the divine, are one. Daily japa offers a simple way to explore that understanding through your own practice.

There is no need to hurry. Begin with a few attentive moments.

Microphone access is needed for spoken practice. Voice recognition availability depends on your phone and its installed speech language support. Internet access is needed for sign-in, sync and family features.
