Subtexto is the all-in-one toolkit every actor needs for a self-tape casting — from the moment you get the script to the moment you submit your tape. Built by actors, for actors.

Free plan, forever. Advanced AI tools for those who want to go further.

📄 UPLOAD YOUR SCRIPT, INSTANTLY ORGANIZED
Drop in your script as a PDF and Subtexto's smart parsing does the rest: characters, scenes and every line are automatically detected and clearly separated, so you always know what's yours and what isn't. Add notes, highlight beats, and correct anything in seconds — no manual formatting, ever.

🔎 AI PRODUCTION DOSSIER
Before you even open your sides, Subtexto searches for everything about the project: production company, director, past work, visual style, and the source material if it's based on a book. One exportable dossier, so you walk into every audition already informed.

🧠 YOUR PERSONAL AI ACTING COACH
Feed it your character breakdown, casting notes, the full script and the AI dossier — and let it surface every layer of subtext, objective, emotion and physical state, line by line. Ask it questions. Talk through choices. Then zoom into any single line for a deeper breakdown. It's like having a coach who actually read everything.

🎭 THE REHEARSAL ROOM
Study your lines your way, then rehearse like you have a real partner — the AI feeds you the other characters' lines so you can respond in real time.

Choose how you want to hear them:
• System AI voices, or 100+ hyper-realistic voices with emotion, accent and language
• Record or upload your own audio — even from a friend — and link it to any line, then let Subtexto play it back as if that partner were right there with you
• Clean up noisy recordings automatically with AI audio cleaning
• Voice-activated advance — the app listens and moves on the moment you finish your line, so you can pause, breathe and act
• Learning your lines in another language? Subtexto helps you nail the pronunciation too

🎬 THE CASTING ROOM
Slate, headshots and high-quality takes, all auto-labeled. Smart teleprompter with adjustable size, custom pauses, and voice-activated scrolling. Or go teleprompter-free with a friend reading your cues on their own screen.

Nobody around to help? Subtexto's got you. Don't speak the other character's language? Subtexto handles that too — it plays back their lines while you film, using your linked audio, hyper-realistic AI voices, your own recorded takes, or system voices. A scene partner, every time.

✂️ THE EDITING ROOM
Trim, reframe and compress your takes right inside the app — no juggling three tools to fit a casting platform's file size limit.

📁 CASTING FOLDER
Every photo, video and self-tape lands in one organized folder, auto-named and ready to export as a single package straight to casting.
