WRMI Legends is a global shortwave radio station broadcasting classic hits and timeless music with studios in Lebanon, TN & throughout the United States and transmitters in Okeechobee, Florida . With its powerful signal, WRMI Legends reaches listeners worldwide, offering an authentic radio experience that keeps the spirit of classic broadcasting alive. Our nightly broadcasts run from 9 PM to 2 AM Eastern on 5.050 and 9.455 MHz, featuring radio veterans like Ted Randall, Jeff Laurence, Jeff Clark, Dan Collins, Dave Mason, Steve Hunter, and more, sharing the greatest hits from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s.

Our story began with the discovery of an old, art-deco broadcast facility equipped with vintage transmitters and a rich music library. A dedicated team of radio enthusiasts restored the station, blending old-school radio magic with modern technology. Today, we bring a unique listening experience, preserving the classic sound of radio for a new generation. From “Parrot Party Radio,” a tribute to Jimmy Buffett, to “Timeless Hits Radio” and deep dives into the world of radio through the “QSO Radio Show,” WRMI Legends offers a diverse range of programs that connect with fans of all ages.

Shortwave radio gives us the ability to reach audiences beyond the limits of local FM or AM stations, bouncing signals off the ionosphere to span continents. Our broadcasts are heard from North America to Europe and beyond, delivering music directly to listeners without the interference of algorithms or corporate interests. We embrace the raw, direct nature of shortwave, providing an alternative to internet streaming and offering a real connection to our audience.

WRMI Legends is more than just music; it’s a community. We are proud to support missionary outreach programs, like the Honduras Missionary Trip by Middle Tennessee Mission Outreach, and provide our listeners with opportunities to make a difference. Our broadcasts serve as a platform for both entertainment and positive impact.

Staying true to our roots, we keep our programming available through modern means. With our Alexa skill, listeners can simply say, “Alexa, play WRMI Legends,” and join us live from anywhere. We are active on social media and offer streaming through our website, making sure that WRMI Legends remains accessible to all who want to experience the magic of shortwave radio.

We rely on listener support to keep our station on the air, and every donation helps maintain the unique legacy of WRMI Legends. It’s thanks to our loyal audience that we continue to bring these sounds to life, bridging the gap between the past and the present.

WRMI Legends honors the memories of radio legends like Grant Hudson and Chip Hobart, who helped shape the station. Their voices may be gone, but they remain an essential part of our story. As we continue to broadcast, we keep their legacy alive alongside the music and stories that define us.
