The dead want the gold. The Express is carrying it through fifty stations of the Old West, and every night a gang of outlaws who would not stay buried walks down the line to take it. Hire a crew, pan the gold and hold the train until dawn.

Fortune Trail is a painted lane-defence game. Five lanes, one train and a tray of cards: tap a card, tap a spot in a lane, and your crew stands its ground.

PAN GOLD, HIRE HANDS
• Prospectors pan nuggets through the night, and gold falls out of the dusk for whoever is quick to tap it.
• Spend it on eight kinds of crew. Sharpshooters fire up the lane, Barrels take the bite, Powder Kegs blast everything around them, Bear Traps spring once and hard, Lamplighters slow the dead with lantern light, the Gatling fires in bursts and the Cannon lobs shells over the front line.
• Nuggets fill the ore cart. Ring the bell and it rolls down a lane, flattening whatever stands in it.
• The brakemen on the train are your last shot in every lane. Keep them quiet and dawn pays three stars.

FIFTY STATIONS, FIVE STRETCHES
• Dust Flats: open ground and the first faces of the gang.
• Boot Hill: graves open on the board and the dead climb out.
• Thunder Trestle: a ghost freight crosses on a whistle and takes everything on its row but your Barrels.
• Dead River: water lanes where only the sandbars hold, and fog that hides the far end of the line.
• Fortune Peak: mine shafts that breathe out the dead at every wave.
Every stretch ends on a boss with tricks of its own: the Hanged Judge, the Undertaker, the Iron Horse, the Riverboat Captain and the Gold Baron.

KNOW YOUR ENEMY
Sixteen faces ride against you, from shambling Deadhands and armoured Pot-Helms to Ghost Riders that leap your barricades, Dynamiters that throw from range, Vultures that fly over the line and Bone Rattlers that split in two. Each one goes up on the Wanted Board the first time it rides, with its crime and the weakness that brings it down.

KIT UP AT THE DEPOT
Every station you hold pays Gold Bars. Spend them on twelve upgrades across three shelves: wider pans, hotter rifle loads, seasoned oak barrels, a heavier powder charge, an ore cart that fills faster, a magnet pouch for loose nuggets, a seventh card for the tray and more. Choose who rides each night, and replay any station you have held for a better dawn.

YOUR CAMP
Your stars, stations, faces, crew and records, kept in one book by the fire.

PLAYS FAIR
• No ads.
• No in-app purchases. Gold and bars come only from play.
• No account needed, and every night plays offline.
• Sound effects, music and haptics, each with its own switch.

Ride out. The first night is a short one. Everything after it is yours to hold.
