SpeakSprint is a language learning app focused on active speaking practice.

Instead of only reading words on a screen, you listen, speak out loud, repeat useful phrases, and check whether your pronunciation is recognized correctly. The goal is simple: build a daily speaking habit, improve confidence, and remember practical phrases through short, repeatable workouts.

Learn and practice 9 languages:

• English
• Spanish
• French
• Japanese
• German
• Korean
• Chinese
• Russian
• Thai

What makes SpeakSprint different:

• Speaking practice from the first lesson
See a phrase, listen to it, repeat it aloud, and continue through short drills designed to make speaking feel more natural.

• Pronunciation checks on your device
SpeakSprint can use local offline speech recognition to help you check whether spoken words are recognized correctly during practice.

• Optional Online GPT AI tutor
Practice conversations with an AI language assistant, ask for explanations, translations and examples, and continue interactive lessons in the language you are learning.

Online GPT supports OpenAI and OpenRouter. You provide your own API key and can choose from available AI models. This feature is optional and is not required for ordinary SpeakSprint lessons.

Voice input is recognized locally on your device. When Online GPT is used, only the resulting text and the conversation context needed for the AI interaction are sent to the selected AI provider. Microphone audio itself is not sent by SpeakSprint to OpenAI, OpenRouter, or AI model providers.

• Learn from your own YouTube links
Paste a link to a YouTube video with available subtitles and use it for language practice inside SpeakSprint. The app divides subtitles into convenient phrases so you can replay a selected fragment, compare the original text with a translation, and study expressions in context.

You can also choose “Discuss with GPT” for a subtitle phrase. SpeakSprint sends the selected phrase together with limited neighboring subtitle context to Online GPT, where you can get a translation, explanation of difficult words and expressions, and continue the discussion.

• Daily phrase workouts
Short lessons make it easier to practice every day at home, during a break, or as part of your daily routine.

• Movement-boost practice
Light movement, rhythm, breath, and repetition can make language practice more active and memorable than silent reading.

• Simple self-study structure
Choose a language, open a lesson, listen to a phrase, repeat it aloud, check recognition, and move to the next step.
