Most teleprompters scroll at a fixed speed and expect you to keep up. Pivoto listens instead. Say the words and the script follows you — pause, slow down, repeat a line, and it waits. Go off script and find your way back, and it finds you again.

THREE WAYS TO USE IT

SCRIPT — Your script fills the screen and scrolls itself, keeping pace with your voice as you read. Pause, repeat a line, or lose your place, and it waits for you.

TALK — Cue cards instead of a script. Each card is a topic you talk around in your own words. Cover the points on a card and it moves to the next one by itself, with a gentle buzz so you know without looking. For when you want to sound like yourself rather than like someone reading.

CAMERA — Film yourself with the script over the picture, close to the lens, following your voice while you record. Look at the camera instead of chasing a scrolling page. Records at 1080p, straight into your gallery.

A short Help page, behind the ? on the home screen, explains every button.

BRING YOUR SCRIPT WITH YOU

Open a Word (.docx) or text file, or share straight to Pivoto from Google Docs, your notes, or an email. Send a script back out as text whenever you want a copy.

WHAT IT IS AND IS NOT

Pivoto does one job properly rather than twenty adequately. There is no video editing, no filters, no account to create, no cloud to sign into. Your scripts and your recordings stay on your phone.

Working out what you said happens on your phone, in every mode. Nothing you say is sent anywhere. After a one-off download of the language files, the app needs no internet connection at all — it works in aeroplane mode.

Pivoto follows spoken English. Other languages are not supported yet.

It will not make you a better presenter. It will stop you losing your place, which is most of what goes wrong.

FREE TO TRY

The free version presents scripts up to about a minute — long enough to record a real piece to camera and see whether the voice tracking works for you, on your phone, with your voice. Unlocking removes the limit on every script, with a single payment. No subscription, ever.

WILL IT WORK ON MY PHONE?

Camera mode needs your phone to record video and listen to you at the same time, and not every Android phone allows that — it is decided by the phone maker, not the Android version, so it cannot be told from the spec sheet. Pivoto has a five-second check built in that answers it for your phone, before you rely on it. You will find it under Help.

Script and Talk modes work on any phone with a microphone.

A NOTE ON WRITING SCRIPTS

Write numbers as words — "twenty twenty six" rather than "2026" — because that is how you will say them, and the app follows you better when the script is written the way you speak.

Put stage directions in angle brackets — , . They show on screen in amber and are skipped when following your voice.
