Pocket Acre is a small farm that fits in a spare minute. Plant, water, and put your phone away: a watered plot keeps growing for as long as its water lasts, ripe crops wait for you, and nothing withers while you are gone.

What you grow, and what you leave wild, decides who visits.

A bee comes to any crop in flower. A hedgehog likes an old tree left standing. A rabbit lives where the berry bushes are, a fox is seen where pumpkins grow, and a bluebird comes for ripening corn. A frog is never far from water. Tap a visitor to greet it and it goes in your journal, with a hint for whoever you have not met yet.

Leave it a gift three times and it moves in. A friend lives on the wild ground beside whatever drew it, and leaves a keepsake on its journal page.

The farm keeps your phone's hours. Dusk comes at five and night at seven, and after dark an owl calls and fireflies come to ground nobody has picked.

On the farm:
- Six crops, from wheat to corn, unlocked by research in your lab
- Mushrooms, berry bushes and apple trees growing wild in the grass
- Hens in a coop, cows and sheep in their pens: feed them from your harvest, and draw water from your well for the cows and sheep
- A kitchen, a mill and a bakery for jam, cider, pickles, flour, bread and pie
- Rocks and stumps to clear for stone and wood, with a pickaxe and an axe from the delivery truck
- An order board on the fence, paying a premium for what its neighbours want
- More land to buy, sprinklers to water it, and fertiliser for a bigger harvest
- A farmhouse and a lab that grow as your farm does
- A name for your farm, in your own words
- Gentle sounds that climb a scale when you greet visitors one after another
